The position: The Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST, École Polytechnique, Institut Polytechnique de Paris) is inviting applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in experimental economics, starting between September and December 2026. The position is funded by Incognito Justice, a Horizon Europe project bringing together several leading research institutions and NGOs. The project investigates the consequences of the anonymisation of court decisions on judicial independence through leveraging a diverse methodological toolkit (computational analysis, causal inference, randomised experiments). The candidate will support the development of theoretical models and the coding of online experiments to assess the impact of anonymisation methods. The candidate will work closely with economists at the University of Bonn and indirectly with the whole consortium involved in Incognito Justice. Your profile:
• PhD in Economics.
• Strong quantitative background, expertise in experimental economics and behavioral economics (ideally, including theory).
• Coding proficiency (Python and/or PHP, SQL, Stata or R).
• Fluency in English. Fluency in French is a plus, but it is not required.

- Contract type: Fixed-term contract (CDD) of up to 24 months.
- Monthly gross wage starting at €3,400 to €4,400 depending on experience.
- Working hours: full-time.
- Start date: Fall 2026.
- Workplace: the office will be based on the Palaiseau campus of ENSAE Paris. Presence is expected, but partial remote work encouraged on selected days.
