The Study Center Gerzensee, an SNB foundation, is a respected international training and conference centre. Its courses in economics are aimed at central bank staff and doctoral students, and its conferences attract top academics from Switzerland and abroad. The Study Center features historic properties and a seminar hotel, which is run by a third party.

Academic Director (60–100%)

Effective immediately or by arrangement, we are looking for a head of the Study Center Gerzensee.

Your tasks

- Strategic and academic leadership of the Study Center

- Management of the foundation’s academic business (Academic Committee)

- Coordination and development of course programmes, conferences and other academic events

- Management of eight research staff (programme managers, postdoctoral researchers / research assistants)

- Teaching and research

- Representing the Study Center as well as maintaining and further developing a network (domestic and foreign universities and lecturers, central banks, federal agencies)

Your profile

- Doctorate in economics

- Several years of teaching and research as well as publications in international peer-reviewed journals

- Relevant leadership experience in an academic environment

- Interest in a broad range of tasks and in interaction with a variety of different stakeholders

- Spoken and written English; knowledge of German, French or Italian a plus
